Flop

A picture of our girl cat, October. She is white with tabby markings and green eyes. She is sprawled out on a brown desk in front of a window, and next to a rainbow storage tower.Outside of a trip to Tesco, been doing my best to just flop out and murder all the things in the Commonwealth in Fallout 4. I do it, knowing we’ve got a good selection of sandwiches for everyone tomorrow, and that’s what we wanted.

Smallest’s new lunchbox arrived today — she bought a Bento box. She’s excited by the concept, but the question will be whether or not she actually washes it every day like she’ll need to. I want to believe the best in her, but considering I have to chase her up to brush her hair… *chuckles* Having said that, brushing hair pull and tugs on sensitive heads, while washing a box is a breeze.

I realised last night that my sock… my sock wasn’t going to work out. While it *is* sock yarn, it’s closer to a double knit than a 4-ply, and that proved true when I checked the weight of the yarn used. So I pulled that back, caked it back up, and shoved it in a drawer for future consideration. I also got a new sock started, with yarn I’ve used before, and the pattern is one I’ve done before, so should be smooth sailing.

Less smooth… I worry for the state of things in the States tomorrow. There are several suggestions that Trump might declare martial law. Which should sound super far-fetched and impossible, but… All of his moves are to the Project 2025 playbook, and yeah. All that scary shit is in there. I just hope that all my family will be okay. :/
