I surprised myself today — I messaged my Member of Parliament. I consider him by and large useless since the *first* time he was our MP, so yeah. Someone had asked in one of my Discords how tariffs were going to affect a band on tour, and my brain was like… actually, our MP used to be a Treasury Secretary, and is a shadow secretary now. He’s got a few businesses, so the de minimus part of the tariff deals might actually be of interest to him (unlike the first time I messaged him on something I knew about, and got back a ‘there there, don’t worry dear’-esque letter ¬¬). I don’t really care if I get messaged back or anything — I just hope that he pushes the government to negotiate harder for small British businesses.
Today has mainly just been trying to stretch myself out. After doing all the stuff with the bracelets yesterday (photos, photo editing, listing etc), I was pretty stiff and limpy. I woke up a bit better for the rest, but I’ve spent most of the day stretching gently from my chair. I also got one of the bracelet listings up on Etsy for science. I’m thinking I’ll drip a few more there because Etsy likes a soul better when they’re constantly listing new things, and after doing some looking, I’ve decided there are enough things listed at pisstake high prices that my stuff looks more than reasonably priced by comparison (though of course, there are some ridiculously, you literally are losing money on that listings, but can’t beat them all).
What else… enjoying the breeze. You know, that small period in early spring where the temperatures are gorgeous and you can have a window open. As much as I like it for myself, I extra like it for the cats. Since they’re indoor cats, them being able to get a sniff of the breeze is a good thing.
