I know that I still have so much work to do on this, but there’s something about starting in the facial region that makes me feel like I’m getting somewhere. It also stops my brain from gnawing on the fact there’s a few stitches of green on the left missing, or wrong, and just like… fix it later. Maybe when/if I get more into cross-stitch on the regular, I’ll start doing clever things like gridding it off and doing it a grid at a time or something. I know that I can learn to do it better/more efficiently, but I am pleased with my general progress at this time.
Past that, been a nice, chilly day. I’ve been enjoying cracking the window open this week and letting fresh air in. I managed to make some cracking progress on work, which is always pleasing. Now I’m just chilling out with the aforepictured needlework, my Sims 3 legacy (which I am starting to get a bit lost in), and a bit of Two Point Hospital. Pretty much any time an expansion for TPH comes out, I am guaranteed to start playing again… and then grumbling and getting the expansion immediately. It helps that they only clock in around £6 a pop, which is a totally reasonable price for a few extra hospitals to play.
What else… oh, Smalls is getting a haircut tomorrow. They asked me earlier if they could get a really short cut, and it’s like… you mean, like I’ve been asking you if you wanted pretty much every single haircut? Okay, I didn’t say that, I thought it loudly, ’cause I am not about to make my kiddo feel bad about embracing their own identity. I hope I can nudge them towards something a bit more stylish than their bestie’s bowl cut from when he was five… but if that’s what they choose, then I’ll support it.
Right, I flee. Happy Friday, y’all.
