I had an Etsy order to run down to the postbox, and amongst all the flowers I was taking pictures of, I found a random rugby ball centrally placed on a hedge. Okay, why not. I presume someone had found it dropped on the pavement and moved it to where it was more visible, much like people around the village will hang dropped hats and coats on street signs so people are more likely to notice them. It was just the degree of precision and care that went into placing this ball. It amused me, but then, I amuse easily.
Today, our Littler levelled up. She’s had a lovely day of birthday cards and messages, excellent presents, and even a socially distanced trip to her grandparent’s back garden. That ended up with me and the two Smalls walking home while Z got a jump from his father’s car; we’ve driven so little that the battery finally went flat. It jumped pretty easily, and his mum insisted that we get a battery charger to share between ourselves ‘just in case’. I think it’s a good idea; I definitely had one when I was still back in Texas.
Coming up next birthday-wise are the cats. A friend had posted a link to a cat scratcher thing that you attach to a table leg, so Z went to see if he could find one from a UK seller. It came in, and it came with a free bag of catnip. Poison both approves of the scratcher and being able to scratch herself, and she apparently likes catnip now. We’ll have to see if Batman responds, and then I guess research if there are different types of catnip and we’ve been giving them the wrong one the few times we’ve tried or something. *chuckles*
Right, gonna go back to like… other things.
