By the Moon

I have never given Sailor Moon a fair chance as a franchise. I saw the first episode in the 90s without realising it was the first episode, and was thoroughly unimpressed by an Usagi that sat down and cried. Now that I’m older and know what actually was supposed to be happening… maybe I’ll eventually get around to properly watching it. This hair stick makes me think about it pretty much any time I look at it, and as I’m using it a lot against the current warm weather… 🙂

And yes, warm! This week is a comparative scorcher by British springtime standards. We’re talking high 70s/low 80s, but the sun feels a lot fiercer this much more northward. I only went out briefly to chat with the neighbours, who were in and out of their back garden while Z was preparing to cut the grass. They’re good people; I like them. I’m flattered that S suggested that maybe we have a picnic next week to celebrate my 13th anniversary of moving here… we’ll see what actually happens. The thought definitely counts though.

((this was after she noted that I said ‘crisps’ instead of ‘chips’, and pointing out that thick American accent remaining, I do primarily speak in British English xD))

Right, I’mma go… something something. Crochet for a bit, maybe. We’ve got an Indian being delivered today, so that’ll hopefully keep me nicely occupied until I can cram yum in my face.
