Batman isn’t much of a lap cat, but I can sometimes get him to endure it. He always presses his head into the crook of my arm now, and it’s just. So cute. I did my best to not pin him in so he could leave when he wanted to, and indeed, he wandered off shortly after. I’m still impressed he stayed put for me to get a photograph, since I made him suffer the indignity of me moving my arm, ha ha.
I got an early-ish start this morning. Z reminded me that we had parent conferences this afternoon, so I got my hair defunked earlier rather than later. Bonus — my nail polish more or less survived the submersion. That in the bag, I did a fairly leisurely stroll through getting the rest of the February year end things sorted. There was one thing outstanding, and I probably should have asked if I was going to circle around to it or if bossmang was gonna do it, but anyways. I guess I’ll see tomorrow when I log in what’s what.
As for conferences — it’s the usual. The girls both work hard and their teachers are happy with them, with little things highlighted for us to try and give more support on. I like the meetings, because it means that we can assure each other that the kiddos are being looked after educationally at home and school, and what we should be aware of that might need a wee bit of support. As I said to both teachers — all we ask is that we try, and they do that. They go to school, they have fun, they get stuck into their learning, and we’re proud of them for it. They’re awesome people, the kiddos are.
Right, gonna go nurse my headache with a bit of caffeine, and see if I can get a few more rows of my sock done. š
