It’s Golden

The new polishes arrive bright and early yesterday morning, which meant that I could take them for a test run. Here’s a picture with a bit of the gold, which is growing on me. At first it seemed some weird combination of matte and shimmer, but the more I look at it, the less matte it seems. But also, that’s normal house light; when you get it in sunlight, it explodes in fire. I think I’m going to have to pair it with Perceval and do some Lannister-inspired nails. We’ll see.

Work was excellent today. I’m caught up to this week, which means I will be in good nick for not getting behind next week, girls at home or not. It’s not like we have a lot of May year ends to worry about, but I’d rather make sure that I am ready to hit them hard and fast than trailing behind.

That’s the bulk of it for today. We’ve got visitors tomorrow, so there’s a wee bit of tidying that needs doing — but most of it is still in fairly good nick from the visit the other week, so.
